Medusa
Medusa is my first self-portrait in almost a year, so I knew I wanted to make it extra special. I used an extreme light source on my face and geometric rendering techniques to create the image you see here.
MOTION GRAPHICS: This work was later enhanced during the development of this portfolio. It now features a shutting eye to add to the original work.
A motif I used throughout this project was geometry: geometric shadows and forms are visible throughout, yet I tried to steer away from abstraction so the face reads clearly.
This project was made using white charcoal and white charcoal pencil on black artist paper. It was animated with Adobe After Effects.
